Delete Tag

Permanently remove a tag from a project.

Deletes the tag and detaches it from every recording that carried it.

Requires delete permission

This detaches the tag from every recording in the project. The recordings themselves — audio, transcripts, analysis — are untouched, but the label is gone from all of them and cannot be restored. Check recordings_count from List Tags first if you want to know how many recordings are affected.

To remove a tag from a single recording, don’t use this endpoint — send the reduced set to Update Recording instead.

Scope

API key scope	Reachable tags
Account-wide	Any tag in any project in the account
Project-scoped	Only tags in the bound project. Others return 404.
